Celebrating 40 years of Sesame Street
To celebrate its 40th year of Sesame Street, Children’s Television Workshop produced a campaign, partnering with MONO, in Minneapolis. Each spot took took a classic Sesame Street clip featuring a nostalgic song, and launched into a montage of the celebrity appearances of many favorite guests appearing on the show throughout the years – Ray Charles, Jack Black, Barbara Walters, Alec Baldwin, Cameron Diaz, Jason Mraz, Ben Stiller, and Anderson Cooper, just to name a few.
“We really had a lot of fun with these pieces. It was great to mash-up the classic Sesame songs and put a new spin on them.” Rumble Exec Producer, Jess Ford added.
Each song began with classic clip and gradually builds into a more modern sound, emphasizing that Sesame Street’s programming is just as big a part of childhoods today, as it was when it first debuted back in 1969.
